Paris in the Winter

The Arc de Triumphe

The Eiffel Tower in Time Lapse

 Bottoms up!

The trolley tracks that take the cars up to the top of the tower. Look closely at the top of the photo and you can see a red car descending.
The Champs de Mars Gardens from the first stop on the way to the top.

But who is this french girl at the mid stage of the tower.  Oh, it's me in my younger days.  This is when I was in Europe for the fall of the Berlin Wall.  Love the beret.  I still have it.

This is the highest you can go.  No more trips to the tippy top!

The old with the new.  Cars speeding by what is widely considered the finiest French gothic architecture, Notre Dame de Paris.

Notre Dame forms sits on an island in the middle of the Seine.  Notice the flying buttresses that support the nave of the church.  From the air, the church forms the latin cross.  The nave being the long part and the transept being the short part that crosses over the nave.

Gargoyles guard the church keeping evil spirits away.  I think they may work on pigeons too!

  1. This is from the days before digital. So all of these are 35mm film. They all have that film look which is kind of fun to look at again. It has a rich, deep grainy feel. Enjoy.
